Thanks for sharing this article, it’s exactly what I needed to read today. I bought my home last month for $420K and just received my property tax bill, based on an assessed value of $600K. I contacted the tax assessor’s office and they have sent me paperwork to petition to have the value of the house and taxes owed, reduced. I look forward to reading your article to make sure I’m ticking all the boxes.
